Job description

  • Work closely with a team of developers to design, integrate, and test new capabilities for the classification marking tool across multiple fabrics.
  • Document the full lifecycle of software development, including system design, requirements, and test procedures.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, gather and clarify requirements, and propose effective solutions.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand needs, address user-reported issues, and generate detailed bug reports when needed.
  • Test new software releases, validate functionality, and clearly document results and findings.
  • Create and maintain standard system engineering, process, and test documentation.

Requirements

Required

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • 3+ years of experience as a System Engineer supporting programs of similar scope and complexity
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline (or 5 additional years of SE experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Experience generating standard system engineering and test documentation
  • Strong written communication skills, with experience producing technical and process documentation
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Wiki-based tools
  • Experience with AWS (ability to navigate services and dashboards)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with developers, contractors, and government stakeholders

  • Ability to analyze system requirements, CONOPS, and architecture to create detailed requirement specifications
  • Experience gathering, analyzing, and validating customer requirements
  • Ability to triage and track user issues, questions, and feedback
  • Skill in establishing internal schedules, milestones, and reporting status (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Experience documenting processes and preparing formal deliverables for government customers
  • Ability to capture meeting minutes and track action items
  • Experience testing new configurations and software releases, including coordinating test users and documenting results
  • Ability to coordinate software deliveries with external organizations
  • Experience contributing to high-level documentation, user guides, and technical materials
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

The proposed salary range for this position is: $79,400 - $162,700
