Job description

CGI is seeking a skilled SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant with experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA. The successful candidate will work closely with clients in workshops, understand their requirements, design and present solutions, configure SAP, and support a full software lifecycle implementation associated with federal financial business process areas. The primary focus is on design, configuration, and testing in SAP S/4HANA Public Sector, with the opportunity to grow and mentor an agile team focused on SAP Financials. This role requires experience with, and a broad understanding of, SAP Federal Financial Accounting processes and solutions.

This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Participate as a member of the team in gathering and validating requirements, designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Financials.

  • Enhance the client's business functionality and overall performance while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.

  • Facilitate workshops to review business requirements and translate them into system requirements, identifying gaps, issues, and work-around solutions across financial management functions.

  • Act as a liaison with the client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and resolve software issues; map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; and develop necessary product modifications to meet client needs.

  • Design, configure, and test FI, CO, FM/GL, SD, MM, and/or AA modules, including unit testing, system testing, and working with clients to facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Participate in the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA, providing functional guidance, presentations, and instruction on SAP products to clients.

Requirements

  • Due to contract requirements, U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check are required prior to starting work. Candidates must also have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

  • Five or more years of SAP consulting experience, ideally supporting federal financial implementations.

  • Experience in financial management best practices, including demos and test scripts.

  • Knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork and facilitation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a way that establishes rapport and enhances understanding for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.

Strong organizational skills.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA for the federal government.

  • Experience in integration, configuration, and implementation of SAP application areas such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Financial/Cost Accounting (FICO), and/or Funds Management (FM).
