Job description

Daily Responsibilities

  • 30% Designing and developing the mobile inspection application
  • 20% Building and maintaining cloud backend services and APIs
  • 15% Architecting scalable, reliable systems and making key technical decisions
  • 10% Collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, hardware, data science)
  • 10% Implementing CI/CD, testing, and monitoring practices
  • 10% Mentoring engineers and reviewing code
  • 5% Identifying and communicating technical risks and trade-offs

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with React (web and/or React Native)
  • Proven experience building and shipping mobile applications (native or cross-platform)
  • Solid background in cloud platform architecture, preferably Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and distributed systems
  • Deep understanding of system architecture and backend development
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, or other queue-based systems)
  • Strong grasp of software engineering principles (SOLID, clean code, TDD)
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical initiatives

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Background in computer vision or sensor-based applications
  • Experience designing offline-first mobile architectures and synchronization strategies
  • Familiarity with robotics, IoT systems, or edge computing platforms (e.g., ROS)
  • Exposure to automotive service operations or dealership software ecosystems (DMS)
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in engineering communities
  • Experience working in startup or fast-scaling environments
