Job description
The Reliability Engineer will work in a hands-on environment as a member of a cross-functional engineering team, supporting testing and engineering by performing root cause analysis on customer return units. This person will work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers, and test technicians to provide answers on failures and solutions for manufacturing and design moving forward. The Reliability Engineer will also be involved in the product development process from the initial concept, through development, testing, and manufacturing phases., · Conduct root cause analysis on customer return units.
· Write detailed reports on findings, and present solutions and recommendations for continuous product improvements.
· Design and prototype solutions to improve future manufacturing.
· Perform testing, prototyping, and troubleshooting of products and components.
· Assist in the prototyping and design of new products.
· Responsible for mechanical part selection taking into consideration viability and availability.
· Works closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and production teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturing, meeting performance and timelines.
· Travel to manufacturing and testing locations as required (domestic and international)
Requirements
Do you have experience in Precision measurement in machining?, · Two-Year technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent degree.
· Experience: 3-5 years working in a product development or testing environment.
· Must be proficient at reading engineering drawings and bills of material.
· Experience using lab equipment, including micrometers and calipers
· Experience with using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks experience preferred)
· Nice To Have: Fabricating knowledge or experience.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Strong mechanical ability
· Basic electrical knowledge a must
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
· Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools and other equipment
· Troubleshooting skills
· Good interpersonal communication skills required to work effectively in a highly productive team environment
· Ability to work with all levels of the organization, customers and suppliers, * product development or testing environment: 3 years (Required)
