Job description
The Systems Cellular Engineer shall provide wireless/RF engineering support on systems, system elements, components, devices and/or processes. The position also requires the following:
- Engineering disciplines to support design, development, and implementation activities
- Reviewing, evaluating and analyzing equipment, components, engineering documents, test plans, test data and procedures
- Conducting installation and maintenance of systems/equipment
- Providing associated training to customer personnel
- In-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi or cellular systems to include current 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G communications network along with future technologies
- General principles of RF communications and propagation.
- Intermediate expertise on personal computers, associated software, and basic networking applications.
- Direct field experience involving the integration, deployment, optimization and use of RF systems.
- Experience with IP networking to include hardware platforms (Firewalls, switches, routers) with Cisco or equivalent certifications being a plus., * Include providing management level wireless/RF support on systems, system elements, components, devices and/or processes; applies engineering disciplines to support design, development and implementation activities; reviews, evaluates and analyzes equipment, components, engineering documents, test plans, test data and procedures; conducts installation and maintenance of systems/equipment and provides associated training to personnel.
Requirements
- Must have experience in fielding telecommunications equipment with an emphasis on the RF interface (any combination of designing, building, testing, optimizing, evaluating, and deploying).
- Project management experience along with the ability to articulate risk management efforts, defining timelines, and defining scope while working in a diverse cross-functional team.
- The potential candidate should be a self-starter and capable of providing detailed documentation to stakeholders and other leadership team members., * Must have experience in fielding telecommunications equipment with an emphasis on the RF interface (any combination of designing, building, testing, optimizing, evaluating, and deploying).

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Requires approximately 20% travel

Minimum Education:
- BS degree and 5+ years of directly related experience in any of the described fields to include project management, cellular, Wi-Fi, or Signals Intelligence.
Minimum Years of Experience:
- In lieu of a BS degree, 12+ years of direct experience in commercial wireless communications with emphasis on project management or 8+ years of relevant military experience with cell site simulators is preferred., * Experience in managing programs involving cellular and Wi-Fi operations is strongly preferred.
