You will work on a wide array of data migration and integration projects, and your contributions will be recognized for delivering world-class results.
As a Data Migration Business Systems Analyst, you will participate in the full project lifecycle from conception through post-deployment, focusing on the migration, mapping, and validation of data between systems. You will present information regarding proposed solutions, detail business and functional requirements, assess project progress, and monitor the effectiveness of deployed initiatives. Key to this role is expertise in process mapping, data modeling, and process engineering. Your high energy, creativity, and drive for continual process improvement will position you to recommend streamlined processes that increase efficiency and data quality. Adaptability in an environment of changing priorities is essential for success.
You will use your organizational skills to conduct customer and process analysis, develop migration plans, requirements, and solutions. Demonstrated success in eliciting business requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, use cases, scenarios, business process, task, and workflow analysis is key. Writing business requirement documents and functional requirements is necessary. We seek individuals who want to help AssetMark grow and enhance their own professional growth along the way.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and IMO leadership during analysis, requirements definition, and design activities for data migration and integration projects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to facilitate and document business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications for data migration.
- Provide strategic advice for business processes and data migration solutions.
- Gain a holistic understanding of a broad range of business processes, data sources, and related systems.
- Interact with and direct technical partners to develop solution alternatives for data migration.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to management, team members, and business partners.
- Possess flexibility to accommodate interaction with offshore development teams.
- Analyze and solve complex business problems, determining suitable IT and data migration solutions.
- Apply broad business knowledge and practical experience to the analysis and solution generation process.
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with departmental staff and internal business partners.
- Generate use cases and participate in user acceptance testing for migrated data and integrated systems.
- Communicate complex information clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical writing within technology?, * Exceptional written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience creating business functional requirement documents and other BSA artifacts for data migration.
- Able to mine and analyze large data sets; strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Highly detail-oriented, meticulous, and self-directed.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experience in the wealth management or financial services industry is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Access and data migration tools is a plus.
Education & Experience
- 5+ years' experience working as a Business Systems Analyst on small to medium sized data migration or integration projects, or related professional experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
