Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Java Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot, with experience in event-driven architectures and cloud-based solutions. This role involves working on mission-critical applications, integrating with modern data platforms, and ensuring robust, secure, and efficient backend services., Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot frameworks.
Implement event-driven architectures leveraging Apache Kafka for real-time data processing.
Work with Cosmos DB or other multi-model NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Cloudant, OrientDB, FoundationDB) for scalable data storage solutions.
Develop and deploy applications on Azure Cloud, ensuring high availability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability while adhering to best practices.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployments in cloud environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to architectural improvements.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in backend development using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka for event-driven and streaming architectures.
Hands-on experience with Cosmos DB or any multi-model NoSQL database (Cassandra, Cloudant, OrientDB, FoundationDB).
Proficiency in Azure Cloud services and deployment strategies.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Experience with performance tuning and scalability in large-scale systems.
Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and distributed environments.
Exposure to monitoring tools like Grafana, Splunk, or similar.
