Job description

  • Set up GovCERT's own infrastructure (servers, network systems, virtualised environment, etc.) and ensure it operates in a stable, high-performance and secure manner
  • Build modern solutions for the operation of in-house developed applications
  • Develop the tools for the detection, collection, processing and analysis of cyber threats, and devise innovative technical solutions for threat mitigation
  • Monitor relevant threat actors in cyberspace and their tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) in order to produce timely and accurate technical cyber threat intelligence (CTI)
  • Provide technical and organisational support to operators of critical infrastructure in managing cyber incidents (incident response) and implement appropriate countermeasures to defend against cyber threats
  • Exchange information with relevant partners in Switzerland and abroad on the current threat situation in cyberspace

Requirements

Do you have experience in Scripting?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * University degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, information security or equivalent experience gained through professional practice

  • Very good technical knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems, common network protocols and current technologies (such as Elastic and ClickHouse)
  • Extensive experience in operating on-premise solutions and network components such as firewalls and routers
  • Solution-oriented mindset
  • In-depth knowledge of both Bash and Python scripting languages
  • Willingness to undertake periodic on-call duty and occasional assignments
  • Very good knowledge of two official languages and passive knowledge of the third official language, as well as very good English skills, The Government Computer Emergency Response Team (GovCERT), as a national specialist service, analyses cyber threats and supports operators of critical infrastructure, the Swiss economy and the authorities in managing cyberincidents.
