Development of cloud-based microservices based on Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.x

Design and optimization of NoSQL database structures (MongoDB), taking into account replication, sharding, and schema evolution.

Implementation of REST services and integration of API Gateway solutions (Gravity base services)

Design and implementation of event streaming solutions with Apache Kafka
-
Ensuring application security through the implementation of Spring Security
-
Conducting performance analyses and code optimizations for Java and NoSQL databases.

Maintenance and enhancement of Terraform scripts for managing the AWS infrastructure (EKS, ECR)
-
Configuration and management of CI/CD pipelines as well as deployments using Argo CD and Argo Rollouts.

System monitoring, incident resolution, and ensuring backup and disaster recovery mechanisms
Requirements

Business-level English (C1 level)

Relevant experience in development with Java 17 and cloud-based microservice architectures.

Strong knowledge of Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Data, Spring Security, Lombok and JUnit

Proficient with MongoDB 6.x/7.x and NoSQL design (replication, sharding, schema evolution)

Experience in the development of REST services and API gateways (base services)

Very good knowledge of Apache Kafka

Expertise in performance and code optimization (Java/MongoDB)

Extensive experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) and AWS (in particular EKS and ECR)
-
Proficient handling of CI/CD processes and deployment using Argo CD and Argo Rollouts
-
Experience in DevOps activities such as monitoring, incident resolution, and backup and recovery mechanisms.

Willingness to travel occasionally to the site in Germany (about 1-2 site visits per year)
Nice to have competences
- German language skills are desirable
Additional information
The activity is carried out mainly remotely from a nearshore location, with a willingness to travel for about 1-2 meetings per year at the Ludwigsburg office.
