Important Information
This is a safety-critical role, which means you will need to pass a medical assessment and be subject to drug and alcohol testing. The role involves working days, nights, and weekends, so flexibility is essential.
When something goes wrong on the railway, you will be the one who makes it right. As a Mobile Operations Manager (MOM) , you will deliver a fast, effective response to real-time incidents and keep the network safe and operational. From accidents and infrastructure issues to weather-related challenges, you will be the person on the ground making a real difference.
You will also play a vital role in investigations¿helping us learn from incidents and prevent them in the future. When required, you will step up as a Rail Incident Officer, leading the command structure and coordinating service restoration. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where no two days are the same., * Respond fast: Attend incidents and accidents, ensuring safety is prioritised while restoring services as quickly as possible.
- Lead when needed: Act as Rail Incident Officer, taking control of command, coordination, and communication during major incidents.
- Investigate and improve: Gather evidence, complete reports, and contribute to recommendations that prevent future occurrences.
- Stay proactive: Monitor performance, support operational audits, and prioritise effectively during periods of disruption such as severe weather.

Drugs and Alcohol Standard:
All prospective candidates will be required to undergo and pass a drugs and alcohol test. Your application will be rescinded if you record a positive test. All positive drugs and alcohol test results for prospective candidates will be securely held on Sentinel database and a 5 year suspension from applying for a safety critical role, a role which requires PTS certification or a Key Safety role on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure will be enforced

Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Organizational skills?, If you are calm under pressure, decisive, and confident taking the lead in challenging situations, we want to hear from you.
- Rail Incident Officer and Personal Track Safety certification (or willingness to undertake training)
- Ability to learn, understand, and apply rules and regulations in a safety-critical environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong decision-making and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivated with the confidence to work independently
Desirable:
- Investigatory and analytical skills
- IT capability for reporting and data analysis
- Experience within operational or safety-critical environments
