AI Solution Architect

The RoleAs AI Solution Architect, you'll lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure LLM-powered solutions from prototype through to production. You'll set technical direction, define best practices, mentor developers, and work cross-functionally with Product, Data, Ops, IT Governance and Cyber Security teams to identify where AI can deliver real business value.This isn't a hands-off architecture role - you'll be deep in the code, using AI coding assistants like Claude Code as part of your daily workflow, while also owning quality, reliability, observability and performance across AI systems. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement secure, scalable Generative AI and LLM-powered applicationsLead architecture and end-to-end development of AI solutionsDefine technical standards, engineering roadmaps and best practices for AI initiativesCollaborate with Product to identify and shape candidate AI use casesEnsure AI solutions are secure by design and data is handled responsibly and ethicallyEvaluate and select AI frameworks, LLM providers, vector databases and cloud infrastructureMentor and provide technical leadership to the development teamStay current with advancements in AI and help shape the organisation's AI journeyCommunicate technical trade-offs and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders What We're Looking ForEssential:5+ years in a software development roleHands-on experience with Generative AI and LLMsStrong knowledge of RAG, prompt engineering and evaluation techniquesAI infrastructure experience - vector stores, embeddings, model servingAI agent frameworks and orchestrationProficiency in TypeScript, Python, React and/or Node.jsMicrosoft .NET stack, SQL Server, NoSQL (e.g. Cosmos DB)REST API design, clean architecture and design patternsGIT, Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines and IaaCSecure AI solution design and responsible AI principlesDesirable:Degree level qualificationExperience with agentic toolingBackground in domain-driven design or event-driven systemsKnowledge of the Facilities Management domain What Kind of Person Thrives Here?
