Job description

Responsible for the delivery of digital change across Vanquis and Snoop, transforming ideas into high-value product features that support our strategic objectives. We work as a cross-functional Agile team, bringing together designers, SMEs, developers, and QAs to design, build, and iterate digital experiences at pace. Partnering closely with senior stakeholders, we prioritise based on customer insight, business value and regulatory needs, ensuring every change delivers meaningful impact. We remove blockers, maintain delivery cadence and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Above all, we empower our people, developing our Product Owners and wider teams to perform at their best while shaping the future of Vanquis' digital products. As a Senior Product Owner, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of digital change across the Mobile App, Snoop and Account Opening journeys, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives while removing blockers and maintaining delivery cadence through effective stakeholder engagement
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional Agile delivery teams-developers, QAs, designers and business SMEs-driving Agile best practice across the organisation and ensuring stakeholders understand their roles to maintain a strong delivery cadence.
  • Lead ideation, prioritisation and iterative design by analysing quantitative and qualitative customer and business data to identify opportunities, collaborating with designers, BAs and third parties to shape solutions, applying data-driven UX/UI insights, ensuring regulatory alignment, and validating concepts through targeted customer research.
  • Refine designs and develop early prototypes with the cross-functional team and customers, using feedback to optimise solutions, while defining and maintaining clear technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile tools such as Jira.
  • Support QA by overseeing testing activities and providing Product Owner approval as the final stage gate in the development lifecycle, ensuring full sign-off and managing the delivery of new features and experiences as part of the broader release management process.
  • Lead Agile sprint ceremonies, including refinement, planning, design review and retrospectives, to ensure smooth and effective delivery.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the cross-functional delivery team, remove obstacles to progress, and manage day-to-day team operations alongside key business stakeholders involved in the delivery process

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of digital & mobile applications and financial services
  • Extensive experience in delivering agile change
  • Extensive technical skills that can be applied to solution design and improvement
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative customer research
  • Experience in developing and delivering product strategy
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and work effectively across teams, suppliers, and wider stakeholders to maintain alignment and drive delivery
  • Demonstrable experience in people leadership, including line-managing Product Owners and coaching them to become effective, high-performing product leaders. Offers are subject to standard background checks (credit, fraud and employment references).
