Job description
The Arcade Systems & Technology Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, repair, and optimization of guest-facing entertainment systems and technology assets throughout Villatel's luxury resort communities. This role provides hands-on support for arcade equipment, bowling systems, golf simulators, networking infrastructure, and other specialized entertainment technologies that contribute to an exceptional guest experience.
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled technical professional with strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting abilities, experience supporting entertainment technologies, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. This individual will help maintain operational excellence through preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, vendor coordination, and technology support across the resort portfolio., Entertainment Systems Maintenance & Support:
- Provide day-to-day maintenance and support for arcade games, simulators, bowling systems, and guest-facing entertainment technologies.
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of arcade equipment and specialized entertainment systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance including calibrations, software updates, alignments, inspections, sensor cleaning, and operational testing.
- Perform routine quality assurance inspections to ensure all entertainment amenities meet Villatel's safety and guest experience standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of arcade equipment, replacement parts, tools, warranties, and technology-related supplies.
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers regarding repairs, warranty claims, replacement parts, and technical support needs.
Technology & Network Support:
- Support networking equipment including wireless access points, switches, cabling, connected devices, and guest-facing technology systems.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, software, and technology-related issues affecting resort operations or guest experiences.
- Work alongside internal teams and external technology providers to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Monitor recurring technology concerns and provide recommendations for operational improvements and equipment upgrades.
- Support integrated entertainment systems, audio-visual equipment, and connected technology solutions throughout the resort.
Guest Experience & Operational Support:
- Respond promptly to technology and entertainment-related issues impacting guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with Dispatch and Operations to prioritize repairs and effectively manage daily work orders.
- Document repairs, inspections, preventative maintenance activities, and completed work orders within Villatel's maintenance management systems.
- Partner with Guest Experience, Housekeeping, and Operations teams to complete repairs while minimizing guest disruption.
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies, gaming systems, entertainment equipment, and industry best practices.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Interpreting technical drawings?, * Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience supporting arcade equipment, gaming technology, entertainment systems, networking equipment, AV systems, or related technical environments.
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience working with arcade games, simulators, bowling systems, interactive attractions, or similar entertainment technologies preferred.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts including Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, switches, access points, and structured cabling.
- Experience supporting Windows-based systems, hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and perform effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as needed.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel between Villatel properties.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, AV, or related technical certifications are preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work with technical equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to safely utilize tools, testing equipment, and technology hardware necessary to perform job duties.
