Job description

The Project Manager Consultant will serve as a key member of the Program Management Office (PMO), with primary responsibility for project planning, schedule management, project controls, reporting, and coordination across multiple teams and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex project schedules, supporting PMO operations, and working within software development environments. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining project visibility, tracking progress, managing risks, and ensuring successful execution of project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support PMO activities across all phases of project execution
  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules
  • Create and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
  • Collect schedule updates and apply changes to project plans
  • Monitor project critical path activities and schedule performance
  • Produce schedule metrics, variance reporting, and earned value analysis
  • Assist with project governance, reporting, and executive status updates
  • Coordinate schedule planning with project managers, team leads, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Facilitate project schedule meetings and document outcomes
  • Support project risk, issue, action item, and change management processes
  • Develop resource forecasts and capacity planning reports
  • Review vendor schedule management practices and ensure adherence to approved processes
  • Assist teams with schedule decomposition, effort estimation, and resource planning
  • Create and maintain project dashboards, metrics, and reporting artifacts
  • Support Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) planning activities

Requirements

Do you have experience in Word embeddings?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field

  • OR Associate degree with 10+ years of project management experience
  • 3-5 years of PMO experience including:
  • Project governance
  • Schedule management
  • Scope management
  • Risk and issue management
  • Change and configuration management
  • 2-3 years of project planning, scheduling, reporting, and resource management experience
  • 2-3 years of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience
  • Experience with:
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • 3-5 years of Microsoft Project Server / Project Web App (PWA) experience
  • 3-5 years of Agile project management experience
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives, * PMO: 3 years (Required)
  • scheduling, reporting, planning project metrics/resources: 2 years (Required)
  • SDLC planning : 2 years (Required)
  • Microsoft suite : 2 years (Required)
