Quantum Error Correction Manager - Software

• Hire and manage a team of high-performing QEC researchers and software engineers.
• Contribute 30-50% of your time towards hands-on QEC/SW projects
• Maintain ongoing communication with other technical managers, project leaders, and team members to ensure work is allocated effectively and efficiently
• Help to provide logistical support to create the infrastructure for the team to accomplish their goals.

• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience, * Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team of experimental physicists, hardware, and software engineers
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a changing work environment
• Ability to hire the best talent from academia and industry
• Experience with quantum information theory and quantum error correction
• Familiarity with Python and at least one compiled language such as C, C++, or Rust
• Strong understanding of best practices for software development

The base salary range for this position is between $180,000-$220,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we offer a bonus plan and incentive stock options for equity in the company.

Day-to-day responsibilities range from project management, software architecture decisions, budgeting decisions, technical mentoring, and individual technical contributions.
