Job description

The Vehicle Database Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, validating, and updating vehicle repair and measurement data within Spanesi's software platforms. This role supports collision repair technicians, OEM partners, and internal teams by ensuring vehicle specifications, dimensions, repair procedures, and technical data are accurate, complete, and up to date., * Research, collect, and verify vehicle dimensional and technical data from OEM and industry sources.

  • Create, update, and maintain vehicle records within Spanesi database systems.
  • Validate vehicle measurement points, repair specifications, and structural data for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with engineering, software development, and technical support teams to implement database updates.
  • Analyze new vehicle releases and determine required database additions or revisions.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews and audits of vehicle data.
  • Assist with testing and validation of software updates related to vehicle data.
  • Document database processes, procedures, and revision histories.
  • Support customer inquiries related to vehicle specifications and measurement data.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging vehicle technologies, including EV, hybrid, and ADAS systems.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Working in the automotive repair industry?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, The ideal candidate has strong automotive technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with vehicle specifications, repair procedures, or technical databases., * Associate degree or equivalent experience in Automotive Technology, Collision Repair, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of vehicle construction, collision repair processes, and automotive systems.
  • Ability to interpret OEM repair information, technical manuals, engineering drawings, and vehicle specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Collision repair industry experience.
  • Experience with vehicle measuring systems or frame repair equipment.
  • Knowledge of CAD software and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with OEM repair procedures and vehicle dimensioning systems.
  • Experience working with technical databases or data management systems.
  • Understanding of electric vehicle (EV) architecture and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to inspect vehicles and vehicle components as needed.
  • Ability to work in both office and shop environments.
  • Occasional lifting of equipment or components up to 25 pounds.
