At Micron Technology, the Boise site is expanding to support a historic investment in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. The Boise expansion team plays a critical role in enabling next-generation DRAM production by building, scaling, and sustaining world-class manufacturing capabilities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Senior Photolithography Scanner Application Engineer is responsible for driving application-level performance and optimization of advanced lithography scanner systems to enable high-volume DRAM manufacturing. This role serves as a key technical interface between process engineering, equipment engineering, and external partners, resolving complex process-equipment interactions that directly impact yield, stability, and scalability. Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and sustain photolithography scanner applications to support high-volume DRAM manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex scanner, process, and equipment issues using deep platform knowledge (e.g., ASML, Canon).
- Partner with process integration, equipment engineering, and suppliers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Drive improvements in yield, defectivity, overlay, CDU, and overall tool performance through data-driven analysis.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives focused on productivity improvement, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical engineering?, * 5+ years of experience in semiconductor photolithography with a focus on scanner applications (ASML, Canon, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting or interfacing with leading semiconductor manufacturers to resolve process or application issues.
- Demonstrated background in both process engineering and equipment or application engineering within a fab environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related technical field, equivalent military experience, or an AAS with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Willingness to travel internationally for onboarding, training, or supplier and customer collaboration., * Deep understanding of photolithography fundamentals and advanced scanner technologies, including overlay, CDU, focus, and exposure control.
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex interactions between scanner hardware, process conditions, and materials.
- Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with SPC, fault detection, and data analytics methodologies.
- Programming or data analysis experience using tools such as Python, JMP, or MATLAB.
