Job description

Production Technicians will lift up to 70 lbs. Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software applications while performing/assisting the repair process. Responsible for ensuring product quality through repairing and testing of product to ensure specifications are met. Documents issues, and reports potential quality related problems to quality management., Test and diagnostics of servers and components.

Repair or replace parts as necessary for servers

Troubleshoots technical issues and complete applicable documentation.

Use of tools and test equipment of various types, to diagnose issues servers

Disassembles and/or reassembles units according to the applicable work instructions.

Orders correct parts using the proper procedures.

Tests units according to work instructions and process flows.

Responsible for inspecting products to ensure it is labeled correctly.

Responsible for completing applicable paperwork completely and accurately.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Must be able to use basic power tools

Six (6) months to one (1) year technical repair experience in a related field required

Six (6) months to one (1) year experience in debugging and testing of electro mechanical assemblies required

Must be able to take apart and assemble a PC independently

1+ years of previous experience in a similar role

Computer certifications definitely preferred

Computer literate in a Windows Environment; Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Internet

Knowledge of various modules, power supply/selection units, power distribution/development boards, and notebook manufacturing knowledge required.

Must be able to identify various cables, components, drivers, boards, etc.

Analytical abilities

Good organizational skills

Must be self-motivated with ability to use own initiative

Flexibility to change direction frequently with little notice

Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Excellent planning and organization abilities

Able to complete projects under tight deadlines, even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments

Ability to recognize defects or flaws in routine parts and/or products

Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

Good visual color perception

Able to stand, stoop and bend

Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods
