Job description

We are seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to support a mission-critical federal cybersecurity program delivering rapid, secure, cloud-based environments for incident response and threat hunting operations. This team plays a vital role in enabling cyber defenders to quickly deploy scalable and secure cloud environments in response to active threats across federal, state, and critical infrastructure organizations. You'll be directly supporting operations where speed, security, and reliability are critical., Deploy and configure cloud-based environments within defined timelines Perform ongoing administration, maintenance, and optimization of cloud systems Apply updates, patches, and security configurations across infrastructure Monitor system health, performance metrics, and resource utilization Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time during active operations Manage cloud resources including compute, storage, networking, and security services Ensure full functionality of tools, services, and environments during engagements Maintain system documentation, configurations, and operational records Execute secure decommissioning and teardown of environments Support data archival and closeout processes Implement and maintain continuous monitoring capabilities Respond to service outages and coordinate recovery efforts Manage user access, permissions, and identity controls

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance Ability to obtain additional federal suitability as required 3+ years of cloud systems administration experience (AWS preferred) Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Windows server administration Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch) Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls) Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards Experience with monitoring and logging tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-critical environments Strong documentation and organizational skills, Experience supporting cybersecurity or incident response environments Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell) Experience with backup and disaster recovery processes Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field OR High School Diploma with 7+ years of relevant technical experience

Certifications (Preferred)

AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or similar cloud certification
