Job description
As a Lead Space Systems Integration Technician, you will play a critical role in the assembly and testing of complex aerospace hardware. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical integration and precision assembly to ensure flight-ready systems meet rigorous engineering standards and mission requirements. Responsibilities
- Translate complex engineering schematics and blueprints into precise assembly sequences for spacecraft components.
- Execute high-precision integration tasks, ensuring all mechanical tolerances and system alignments meet flight specifications.
- Operate specialized test consoles and diagnostic equipment to perform comprehensive leak, pressure, and control surface checks.
- Install sensitive thermal protection materials, including multi-layer insulation (MLI), with extreme care to maintain structural and thermal integrity.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze test data and refine assembly procedures for improved efficiency and reliability.
- Utilize a wide range of hand, power, and computer-controlled tools to facilitate hardware moves and system installations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to maintain high-quality standards across all integration activities.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wiring harnesses?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in high-reliability mechanical assembly.
- Proven ability to build and terminate complex wiring harnesses.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Expertise in using precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and digital multimeters.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations., * 5+ years of direct aerospace integration experience.
- Hands-on experience with thermal blanket installation and clean room protocols.
- Active industry-standard certifications such as J-STD-001 or NASA-STD-8739.4.
- Strong proficiency in technical reporting using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
