Job description
The Clinical Information Services team is focused on developing scalable data, machine learning, and application solutions that drive meaningful insights in veterinary care. You will work alongside software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver industry-leading capabilities. In this role:
- You will design, implement proofs of concept, and develop data pipelines and integrations
- You will contribute to machine learning and application development efforts supporting clinical insights initiatives
- You will participate in business planning as well as technical architecture and infrastructure strategy
- You will innovate across technology, development practices, and team processes
- You will collaborate closely with Architects, Developers, QA Engineers, DevOps, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters across remote teams
- You will work within a Scrum-based Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions
- You will mentor and coach junior developers and QA team members
- You will continuously learn new technologies and share knowledge with peers

Requirements
- Proficiency with one or more major cloud providers (AWS preferred)
- Experience with AWS services (API Gateway, AWS Lambda, SQS, S3)
- Proficiency with GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Strong programming skills in Java 17 and Python 3
- Experience with relational databases (AWS MySQL Aurora)
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack, and MS Teams
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Snowflake
- Experience with domain-driven design (DDD)
