Job description
- Ensuring the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
- Collecting and analyzing data to forecast infrastructure system needs before issues arise
- Identifying issues and implementing plans for remediation before the issues negatively impact the business.
- Performing Active Directory Administration tasks
- Performing Software Updates (Windows and other 3rd party software)
- Installing and configuring software and hardware on physical and virtual systems
- The ability to read and write instructions, see, hear, operate a computer, comprehend, and then carry out directives when instructed
- Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position
- The ability to work on-site
- Predictable, reliable, and prompt attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Do you have experience in IT department experience?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate Degree in IT or related field or higher
- At least 2 years of experience in the Information Technology field
- Industry certifications that demonstrate proficiency with Enterprise I.T. Infrastructure such as Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.
- Certifications relevant to the items in Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics are preferred.
- ITIL Foundation certification is required (or should be obtained within 9 months of appointment)., * Proficient with Computer and Server Operating Systems in a virtual machine environment
- Proficient with the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of virtual computer systems
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Windows Server Operating Systems
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Active Directory
- Extensive knowledge and experience with storage, virtual machines or Cisco UCS equipment
- Monitoring, working tickets in the ticketing system and seeing them through to completion
- 'How to' documentation of Infrastructure procedures
- Handling emergent issues as they arise
- Server setup, deployment and maintenance
- Windows workstation and server patching
- Office 365 administration and maintenance
- Storage Administration
- VMWare Administration
- Citrix Server Administration
- Backup and Data Retention activities Assisting vendors and other 3rd parties with implementation of any professional service installations
