Design Engineer

OYSTER CNC is growing, and we're looking for a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. We specialise in high-precision CNC machining, delivering tight-tolerance components for a wide range of industries.This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with machinists and production teams to bring designs to life and improve manufacturability.

5+ years SolidWorks experience (3D modelling, assemblies, drawings)Strong mechanical design and DFM knowledgeExperience with CNC machining processesHands-on machining experience with at least one of the following; Doosan, Mazak, Citizen, or Willemin (Fanuc controller)Ability to program using GibbsCAMPractical problem-solver with strong attention to detail What you'll do: Design and refine components for CNC manufactureCreate technical drawings and production documentationCollaborate across the shop floor to optimise designsSupport prototyping, validation, and troubleshootingJoin a team that values precision, craftsmanship, and collaboration.
