Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to join a high-profile NHS programme, supporting the design and delivery of modern, scalable data and analytics pipelines. This role will play a key part in improving how data is processed and utilised to drive clinical insights, operational performance, and decision-making across healthcare services., * Design and buildscalable, end-to-end data pipelines on AWS, including:

Data ingestion, transformation, validation, and output generation

Develop and maintain a dedicated reporting database, reducing reliance on ad-hoc querying against operational systems

Leverage AWS services such as Athena,S3, Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions to deliver:

Automated scheduling

Orchestration and monitoring
-
Implement data quality checks and maintain a clear audit trail across all processing steps

Develop analytical reports and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to communicate insights to stakeholders

Build and maintain repeatable analytical solutions to support programme monitoring and reporting needs

Produce well-documented, maintainable code and processes
Requirements
- SQL and Python
- AWS (data/analytics services)
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Proven track record building data pipelines, reporting layers, and analytics solutions
- Strong focus on data quality, validation, and governance
