Linux-based infrastructure environments (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS).Manage, maintain, and optimise Linux servers across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure high availability.Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and OS-level issues, conducting thorough root cause analysis.Manage system patching, security updates, backups, and disaster recovery processes.Implement security best practices, including system hardening, access control, and vulnerability management.Support deployment processes, migrations, and new software releases whilst maintaining meticulous documentation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide 2nd and 3rd line support for infrastructure-related incidents.Required Skills and ExperienceProven experience in Linux system administration covering platforms like
Requirements
RHEL, Ubuntu, or CentOS.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python for automation tasks.Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).Experience with monitoring, logging, and virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM, Nagios, Prometheus, Splunk).Familiarity with containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills under pressure.Strict Requirements: Candidates must hold an active eDV clearance (Green Badge) and be fully prepared to work high side.
