Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of our data center infrastructure. This position is critical to supporting our mission-critical systems and ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance across both on-premise and cloud environments., * Lead architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of data center infrastructure components.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient systems in hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud).
- Administer and maintain enterprise Windows and Linux systems.
- Develop and enforce backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Optimize storage and compute infrastructure for high performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application needs and integration projects.
- Document systems designs, procedures, configurations, and provide knowledge transfer.
- Proactively monitor systems performance and reliability, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal security policies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to incidents with urgency and professionalism.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows support?, The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in both Windows and Linux environments, extensive experience with monitoring and disaster recovery solutions, and a strong foundation in virtualization, cloud services, storage, and preferably high-performance computing (HPC). This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment., * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
- Proficiency in both Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) environments.
- Proven experience in data center design, build-out, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/AWS GovCloud, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Ceph).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and integration with infrastructure systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure., * Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional standing and walking within the office
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
- Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports
- Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies
- Lifting and carrying items up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, packages)
