Job description
Rapid Radios is seeking a proactive and dependable IT Systems & Support Specialist to support and maintain our internal and customer-facing portal, as well as manage day-to-day technical operations across the company.
This role is focused on system maintenance, troubleshooting, and internal support rather than new development. You will work closely with fulfillment, customer service, and leadership teams to resolve technical issues, improve system performance, and ensure smooth daily operations.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, can work independently, and is willing to step in when needed-including occasional after-hours support for urgent issues., System Maintenance & Support
- Maintain and monitor the company's internal and customer-facing portal
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system bugs, errors, and performance issues
- Perform routine system checks, updates, and optimizations
- Collaborate with leadership on system improvements and enhancements
IT Ticket Management
- Manage and respond to IT tickets from fulfillment, customer service, and leadership teams
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Prioritize and escalate issues when necessary
- Maintain clear documentation of issues, resolutions, and recurring trends
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Set up new employees with required hardware, system access, and accounts
- Configure permissions and ensure proper access to internal tools and platforms
- Support new hires with initial system walkthroughs and troubleshooting
- Manage offboarding by securely removing access, reclaiming equipment, and ensuring data/security protocols are followed
Internal IT Support
- Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, and workstation setup
- Troubleshoot office technologies (printers, VoIP systems, network connectivity, etc.)
- Support user access, permissions, and system configurations
- Maintain organization and tracking of company IT equipment and assets
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to understand operational needs and pain points
- Recommend and implement process improvements where applicable
- Support ongoing system enhancements and integrations as needed
Requirements
Do you have experience in Teamwork?, * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across software and hardware
- Experience supporting internal systems, portals, or SaaS platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to urgent issues
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership without constant direction
- Strong communication skills across both technical and non-technical teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred Technical Experience
- Familiarity with web-based platforms and basic application architecture
- Experience with APIs, system integrations, or backend workflows (preferred, not required)
- Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, LAN, device connectivity)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) is a plus
- Familiarity with CRMs, ticketing systems, or internal dashboards
Availability & Expectations
- Willingness to assist outside of standard business hours when urgent issues arise
- Ability to respond to critical system issues during evenings or weekends as needed
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for system uptime and performance
