Principal Software Engineer- Applied AI - 2023107

Quanergy is building several complex cross-platform software solutions based on processing our LiDAR sensor data. We are looking for an experienced software engineer to lead our continued development and deployment of artificial intelligence algorithms. You will architect and deploy our next generation of perception software, exploring new approaches to get the most out of point cloud data. This is a hands-on role but will also involve hiring and managing the work of other engineers and contractors. The position reports directly to the VP, Software Engineering., * Perform AI R&D on point cloud data

• Be the company AI expert, driving strategy and direction for next generation products

• Architect a plan to leverage edge processing and cloud processing for scalability

• Manage products to deployment and beyond

• Work within an agile environment

• Plan, schedule, and ensure the timely execution of tasks

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required., * B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Track record of deploying multiple AI based SW products with successful commercial outcomes

• Proven track record of developing a roadmap and navigating the tradeoffs

• 3+ years of experience in C++ programming

• 5+ years of experience building machine learning and/or AI products

• 3+ years of experience building products based on deep learning

• Extensive experience and a deep understanding of machine learning techniques including classical methods, deep learning, and data preparation

• Experience working with 3D point cloud data, preferably with deep learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• M.S./PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience deploying AI solutions at the edge and/or in the cloud

• Experience building and leading an AI team.

• Experience with Agile methodologies

• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and Jenkins
