Job description
We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Architect to design, build, and manage scalable data and analytics solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data architecture, governance, security (including Row-Level Security), and environment setup, along with a deep understanding of licensing and performance optimization.
Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Solution Design
- Design end-to-end BI and analytics architecture using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- Define data models, data flows, and integration strategies
- Build scalable and high-performance semantic models
Power BI & Reporting
- Develop and manage Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data access strategies
- Optimize report performance and usability
Microsoft Fabric & Data Platform
- Set up and manage Microsoft Fabric environments (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2)
- Design data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes within Fabric
- Integrate Fabric with external data sources and enterprise systems
Power Platform
- Leverage Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow automation and app development
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with BI and data systems
Environment Setup & Administration
- Configure and manage Power BI Service environments
- Set up workspaces, deployment pipelines, and governance policies
- Manage tenant settings, capacity planning, and performance tuning
- Implement Dev, Test, and Production environments
Security & Governance
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data protection strategies
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls
Licensing & Cost Optimization
- Define and recommend Power BI and Microsoft Fabric licensing strategies (Pro, Premium, Fabric capacities)
- Optimize cost based on usage, users, and workloads
- Provide guidance on capacity sizing (F SKUs, P SKUs)
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Provide technical leadership and best practices
- Support pre-sales and solution proposals when required
Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * 8+ years in BI, Data Engineering, or Analytics Architecture
- Strong expertise in Power BI (Desktop, Service, DAX, Data Modeling)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Deep understanding of Row-Level Security (RLS) implementation
- Experience in Power BI environment setup and administration
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data modeling
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.) is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL, APIs, and data integration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with capacity planning and performance tuning
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks
- Microsoft certifications (Power BI, Fabric, Azure) preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or enterprise environments is a plus
- Experience with Databricks or Snowflake is plus
