Job description
As a Front End Developer at Phoenix Energy One, LLC, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality user interfaces that support our internal platforms and customer-facing applications. Your responsibilities will include developing performant, accessible, and maintainable front-end code, contributing to and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver polished user experiences. The ideal candidate brings strong TypeScript fundamentals, a solid command of modern component-based frameworks, and a disciplined approach to version control and automated workflows. This role works closely with product, design, and back-end engineering teams and directly shapes the front-end architecture and developer experience at Phoenix., * Design, build, and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces for internal platforms and customer-facing applications.
- Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines covering build, test, and deployment stages to ensure reliable, repeatable releases.
- Write clean, strongly-typed TypeScript across all front-end codebases, enforcing consistent patterns and code quality standards.
- Collaborate with back-end engineers, product managers, and designers to translate requirements into polished, production-ready features.
- Manage feature development and bug fixes using Git branching workflows, participating actively in pull request reviews.
- Monitor and improve front-end performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility across applications.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify UX improvements and translate business requirements into scalable front-end solutions.
- Write and maintain automated tests (unit and integration) to ensure reliability and support confident refactoring.
- Stay current with evolving front-end tooling, frameworks, and best practices, and advocate for improvements to the developer experience.
- Document component architecture, coding conventions, and deployment processes to support team onboarding and maintainability.
- Contribute to front-end architecture decisions, including framework selection, state management approaches, and tooling choices.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Version control systems?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Strong proficiency in TypeScript with a deep understanding of type safety, generics, and modern ECMAScript patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Svelte/SvelteKit and/or Astro; strong React or Vue developers are also welcome, as framework fundamentals transfer readily.
- Solid understanding of front-end fundamentals including the DOM, browser rendering, responsive design, and web accessibility (WCAG).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms for building and maintaining automated pipelines.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks for unit and integration testing; a testing-first mindset is a strong plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking with the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clean, maintainable implementations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss technical trade-offs clearly with both engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with monorepo tooling (e.g., Nx, Turborepo) and Docker/containerization is a plus.
- Curiosity and drive to explore new front-end patterns, tooling improvements, and performance optimizations., * Strong TypeScript proficiency with hands-on experience building and shipping production front-end applications.
- Experience with Svelte/SvelteKit or Astro preferred; strong React or Vue experience considered with demonstrated ability to ramp on new frameworks quickly.
- Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (build, test, and deploy automation) in a team environment.
- Comfortable with Git branching strategies and pull-request-based workflows in a collaborative codebase.
- Familiarity with automated testing practices; experience writing unit and/or integration tests is a strong plus.
- Exposure to monorepo tooling and/or Docker/containerization is beneficial but not required.
Education:
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience., * Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
