Tree House After School Programs is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic After School Web Development Instructor to teach students the fundamentals of web development using HTML, CSS, and introductory JavaScript. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about technology, enjoys working with elementary-aged students, and can create a fun, engaging, and hands-on learning experience focused on building websites and interactive content., * Design and deliver engaging after school web development lessons using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Introduce core web concepts such as page structure, styling, layouts, basic interactivity, and problem-solving.
- Guide students through hands-on projects, including simple websites, interactive pages, and beginner-friendly web applications.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Adapt lessons to accommodate different skill levels and learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior professionally during after school hours.
- Communicate effectively with program coordinators and school staff.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Working with students?, * Experience teaching or working with children in an educational or after school setting.
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and beginner-level JavaScript.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and age-appropriate manner.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Computer Science, Web Development, STEM, Education, or a related field.
- Prior experience teaching web development, coding, or technology programs to elementary students.
