Job description
Our client is seeking an Integration Technician to support a significant increase in production demand. The team is responsible for building and integrating communications rack systems for the FAA, with production expected to increase from approximately 80 systems annually to 185 systems over the next year. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with electronics assembly, communications equipment, networking, military technical experience, or PCB assembly backgrounds who enjoy working in a hands-on, team-oriented environment., * Assemble, integrate, and test communications rack systems and electronic equipment according to engineering drawings, build plans, and work instructions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Install, route, terminate, and dress cables to meet quality and industry standards.
- Work with CAT cabling, fiber optic assemblies, and structured cabling systems.
- Install and integrate networking equipment including routers and IP-based devices.
- Perform soldering and electronic assembly tasks as required.
- Work with DC power systems, grounding standards, and positive/negative power distribution.
- Utilize Microsoft Visio drawings and network diagrams during system integration activities.
- Use SharePoint and other computer-based tools to access documentation, track work progress, and maintain records.
- Conduct inspections and functional testing to ensure systems meet customer and engineering requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Telecommunications electrical systems?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Experience in electronics assembly, system integration, communications equipment, cable installation, PCB assembly, or a related technical field.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, build plans, schematics, and written work instructions.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience using laptops and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of DC power systems and grounding concepts.
- Experience with soldering, cable termination, and cable dressing.
- Familiarity with CAT cabling and/or fiber optic systems.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team., * Military experience in communications, electronics, avionics, networking, radar, or related technical fields.
- Experience with routers, networking concepts, and IP addressing.
- Experience using Microsoft Visio and SharePoint.
- PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing experience.
- Prior experience with defense, aerospace, or communications equipment manufacturers., * High school or equivalent (Preferred), * Electronics assembly, communications equip, cable install..: 3 years (Required)
- Reading and following blueprints, build plans andschematics: 3 years (Preferred)
- CAT cabling and/or fiber optics: 3 years (Preferred)
