Job description
The QA Inspector/Technician is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet company, customer, and regulatory quality requirements throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. The QA Technician performs receiving, in-process, and final inspections; maintains quality records and documentation; supports audits and compliance activities; and works closely with Operations, Engineering, Program Management, and government representatives to ensure product conformity.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform Receiving and In-Process Inspections
- Prepare inspection reports
- Maintain documentation required to demonstrate product conformity
- Initiate and maintain As-Built records for inspection throughout production
- Perform first article inspection activities
- Generate Non-Conformity records for NDT Inspection failures
- Perform QA activities with government representatives for product acceptance
- Generate conformity documentation
- Perform duties in various manufacturing environments
- Absorbs duties and responsibilities outside of primary functions as needed
- Some travel may be required
- Coordinate with team members to achieve and maintain schedule
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical documentation?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Experience with ISO QMS Documentation and Audits
- Proven proficiency in interpreting drawings and process specifications
- Previous inspection experience, including final inspection of assemblies and In-Process inspections
- Experience utilizing precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection instruments.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including AS9100 and/or ISO 9001.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while meeting quality and schedule requirements., * 2 Years of Aerospace inspection experience, or equivalent
- Experience working in manufacturing environment
- Previous Technical Writing experience
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience
- Experience utilizing ERP system
- Previous Quality Assurance internal audit experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
- Ability to work in manufacturing and production environments
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up 40+ pounds
- Ability to visually inspect components and documentation with a high degree of accuracy
Security & Compliance Requirements
- This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance followed by a fully adjudicated clearance. Clearance sponsorship will be facilitated by C-CAT.
- Due to the nature of our work supporting U.S. defense programs, U.S. Citizenship is required in order to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance.
- Work performed may involve access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
