Job description

  • Provides technical and functional support for database monitoring, database installation, database configuration, database administration, troubleshooting techniques, performance tuning and application system updates.
  • Works as a team member with senior technical staff on large, complex technical projects.
  • Completes assigned technical projects on time (e.g., analysis, designing, development, implementation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, production support, documentation, etc.).
  • Analyzes problems, develops and implements solutions.
  • Resolves escalated complex issues within the established timeframes while providing quality customer service.
  • Proactively monitors and controls all directives to ensure quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science / MIS field.
  • Oracle DBA administration and/or programming experience.
  • Knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience with SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience with Unix shell scripting.
  • Oracle Certified Professional preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Streams.
  • Enterprise storage experience like NetApp.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Grid Control 12c
  • Ability to follow strict procedures and be disciplined in installation, documentation, event handling, and change control.
  • Ability to adapt to changing goals based on customer demands and market conditions.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external users and customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
