- Bring technical credibility to leadership by understanding the team's work and challenging assumptions when needed.
- Partner across engineering with platform devops, backend platform, frontend platform, security, and peer leaders to align on priorities and support.
- Drive thoughtful use of AI in platform engineering to reduce toil, accelerate delivery, improve RCA, and strengthen documentation and onboarding.
- Improve how the team operates by strengthening ownership, execution, and continuous improvement across the DevOps function.
About our team
You'll be part of Lighthouse's Platform organization, working closely with platform-focused peers and a team that is tied to the day-to-day needs of our engineers. This role sits in an environment where practical problem solving, strong partnership across functions, and a hands-on understanding of engineering challenges are highly valued.
The DevOps team you will lead has six members and focuses on building and maintaining the infrastructure, tooling, and operational foundations that help engineers ship reliably and efficiently, including cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes-based platform work, observability, IaC, CI/CD, and day-to-day operational support.
Requirements
Do you have experience in TypeScript?, * Experience leading and managing engineers, with strong coaching and prioritization skills.
- A solid engineering background in DevOps, backend engineering, or broader engineering management that gives you the credibility to understand technical decisions.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure).
- A hands-on experience in using AI tools to optimize processes and viewing AI as a core component of modern software.
- The ability to distinguish between operational coordination and engineering work. You are involved in building, improving, and owning technical solutions.
- The ability to see the bigger picture, breaking down large engineering projects into clear, manageable tasks.
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude, with the ability to inspire a positive, solution-oriented mindset within your team.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to partner effectively with peer leaders and engineering teams.
- Fluency in English, with excellent communication.
