Job description

Integration Lead Analyst (Clinical Systems)Barts Health is seeking an Integration Lead to contribute to the delivery and resilience of digital systems and services across the Trust. This senior technical role is accountable to the Integration Team Manager within the Clinical Systems department. The integration team is responsible for support and development of the business critical integration function, providing links between the Oracle (formerly Cerner) Millennium Electronic Health Record and various other systems, both within and outside Barts Health. The successful candidate will have a software development background, service management experience, experience designing and building interfaces using an integration engine within a healthcare environment, and experience managing or supervising junior staff. Please note: Interview dates are planned to be on or just after the 14th July 2026 Main duties of the job o Analysis of new requirements and high-level design of integration solutionso Lead the design, development, and assurance of interfaces using InterSystems HealthShare / Health Connect / Ensemble including coding in ObjectScript and other languageso Oversee HL7 v2 and FHIR integrations across Trust systems and partner organisationso Analyse, extract and report on data related to integration solutions using SQLo Provide support and liaise with project deployment teams to assist in all phases of implementation projects. Participate in implementation planning activities, including the integration element of new solutions and regression test planning.o Provide senior technical leadership for interoperability with Oracle (Cerner) Millennium, including messaging workflows and API based integrationo Lead resolution of complex integration issues to minimise clinical service disruptiono Maintain governance of interface documentation, configuration records, and integration standardso Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on integration architecture and data standardso Help manage, mentor and support analysts within the integration teamo Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, lead users and colleagues across multiple organisations, For an informal discussion about this role please contact Colin Ghiotti, Integration Team Manager, on 07732 578422.We are dedicated to being an outstanding place to work and will work with you to get the best experience. Requirements

  • A relevant first-degree, or equivalent qualification or experience plus relevant post graduate qualification or experience
  • ITIL green badge equivalent in service management
  • InterSystems training and qualifications or equivalent from other integration engine suppliers

Desirable

  • PRINCE2 foundation equivalent in project management

Experience Essential

  • Effective communication and influencing skills. Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information
  • Good presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong systems analysis skills
  • Extensive experience as an NHS healthcare informatics professional in development and support roles
  • Experience of leadership on design and development and implementation of multiple significant clinical system integration solutions
  • Broad understanding of NHS clinical and administrative processes.
  • Experience in management of development staff

Desirable

  • Experience in integration function management
  • NHS data standards and reporting requirements, * Trained in the full range of IT disciplines including system analysis, system design, programming, testing and implementation, gained through extensive experience in an IT development environment
  • Expert highly developed specialised knowledge of InterSystems IRIS for Health / HealthShare / Ensemble or a similar platform
  • Expert knowledge of HL7 messaging

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium internals
  • Knowledge of primary care (GP) systems
