Job description
Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Network Engineer - Juniper to join their team in Portsmouth. This permanent role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and play a key role in the delivery of key communications and network systems., * Investigate and resolve technical issues across existing networks and systems
- Support multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of technical outputs
- Implement and configure new systems and solutions
- Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to deliver quality outputs
- Assist with system implementations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop processes and support the team by sharing knowledge and providing practical solutions
- Maintain high standards of professionalism in a structured IT environment
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in networking, IT, and communications
- Prior experience as a network engineer within an IT department
- Experience in supporting Juniper SRX-based networks, including cyber patches and issue investigations
- Understanding of Microsoft, Windows, Linux, or coding environments is advantageous
- Ability to investigate problems and provide solutions to complex network issues
- Degree in engineering or equivalent IT-related experience
