In fact, your work enables our teams to deliver fresh fruit, time-sensitive healthcare products and much more to people all around the world. Working in IT at Kuehne+Nagel contributes to more than we imagine.
We are looking for a driven Solution Architect (Functional) to join our Global Contract Logistics IT team. In this role, you will design and shape end-to-end Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions, translating business needs into scalable, high-quality system designs. Acting as a key connector between operations, business, and IT, you will ensure the successful delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement of WMS solutions across a global landscape.
How you create impact
- Design and deliver end-to-end WMS solutions by translating complex business and operational requirements into scalable system architectures.
- Lead and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to align on requirements, validate solutions, and drive successful outcomes.
- Ensure solution quality by supporting testing phases, validating outputs, and managing defects throughout the lifecycle.
- Drive successful system implementations, including deployment readiness, go-live support, and post-implementation optimisation.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, standardisation, and continuous improvement across global WMS solutions.
What we would like you to bring
- Strong hands-on experience with WMS solutions (ideally Blue Yonder) within contract logistics or 3PL environments.
- Expertise in analysing business processes and translating them into functional designs, process flows, and system configurations.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, and inventory processes.
- Proven ability to lead workshops, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
What's in it for you
- Opportunity to work on global, large-scale IT and WMS transformation initiatives
- Exposure to cutting-edge technologies, automation, and system integrations
- A collaborative, international environment with high-impact cross-functional projects
- Strong career growth through technical leadership and architecture expertise
- A role where you can influence innovation, scalability, and digital transformation across global logistics operations
