Job description
As a Technical Support Specialist , you will be responsible for resolving a variety of technical issues and answering questions that arise daily, related to the IT infrastructure and end-user computing environment at Aspen's East Providence Manufacturing facility. You will also have the opportunity to work on technical projects in a team-orientated environment. This position provides an extensive growth opportunity for the right candidate to work on 50% user support, 20% windows server, 20% IT & Cyber-security project work, and 10 % networking & infrastructure., * Support end-user software applications, hardware, and network-related issues.
- Perform installation, training, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of desktop technology hardware and software
- Support plant hardware, server, and network infrastructure.
- Monitor and respond to incidents created in an IT ticketing system and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate hardware and software records for company assets
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and support partners in supporting plant operations.
Requirements
- 5+ Years in a Desktop Support role
- Experience with deploying Windows 7 & Windows 10 devices
- Windows Server 2012R2, 2016
- Understating of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANS, and wireless networks
- Experience with AirWatch and Mobile Device Management technologies.
- Deployment and support of VoIP and cellular phones, iPads & mobile devices
- Ability to support/troubleshoot MS office applications
- Working knowledge of Active Directory Domains, Forests & Group Policy
- Experience working with Virtual Machines and Remote Desktop Services.
- Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite, and friendly manner, both written and verbal
- Ability to lift computers & equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
Certification Requirements:
Successful candidate must have CCNA and Network + Certifications
