Mitsui Sumitomo Marine Management (USA), Inc. in Warren, NJ seeks a Senior Data Engineer to build a single source of truth in our data lakehouse and data visualizations that empowers users to answer complex questions and drive actionable insights. Architect, design and implement robust and complicated data pipelines and model data using modern tools and techniques and apply data engineering best practices to the production and maintenance of analytics code. Deliver well-defined, transformed, tested, documented, and code-reviewed data sets so that business users can perform their own analysis while getting reliable, consistent answers. Define and implement the overall data architecture, including data ingestion, transformation, storage and consumption. Design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure that power business intelligence tools and enable data-driven decision making. Requirements
- 6 years of related experience. Experience must include the utilization of SQL for data querying & manipulation; Data warehousing & ETL processes; Cloud data warehouse providers such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake; BI tools like Power BI, Tableau; and, Software engineering practices such as version control with Git, Testing, and CI/CD.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field., ingestion to delivery . Ensure data models are running reliably in a production environment and provide relevant documentation on modeled data and metrics including data definitions, data lineage, business logic, sample queries to enable self-serve, analytics. Perform exploratory analysis, identify trends and patterns and draw conclusions from data sets and extract complex data from multiple sources into usable and meaningful reports and analyses. Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field + 6 years of related experience.
