In this Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer (Senior, Level III) position, we are seeking an experienced GNC Engineer who will serve as a Line of Sight (LOS) analyst.
Requirements
The role specifically is looking for a specialist in the subject of optical line of sight (LOS) jitter analysis for precision pointing spacecraft to support multiple satellite buses including, but not limited to, the LM400 and LM2100 satellite series. In addition to knowledge in the field of LOS jitter analysis, the candidate should have familiarity with GN&C subsystem architecture, systems engineering, disturbance modelling, dynamometer testing, space vehicle jitter testing, requirements flow down, early program design and analysis, structural analysis, Damping, Dynamics Modeling, Modeling Uncertainty factors, LOS jitter analysis and time/frequency domain analysis., Successful applicants generally have at least 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering or other related field., * Possess domain experience in spacecraft controller design and optimization.
- Experience in developing and verifying performance of simulation models in simulation environments using programming tools that include MATLAB/Simulink, C++
- Possess domain experience in LOS modeling and analysis. Familiar with the subject of optical line of sight (LOS) jitter analysis for precision pointing spacecraft
Security Clearance / Work Authorization:

To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.

Interim Top Secret clearance is required to start employment. Applicants must be eligible to obtain Interim Secret to be considered qualified.

Selected candidates will be required to obtain, and maintain, a government issued Secret clearance for long term employment on this program. Desired Skills:

Experience going through a spacecraft program life cycle encompassing requirements generation, design, analysis, integration, verification, and testing of the GN&C subsystem for space applications including mission operations

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment

Demonstrated good communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: TS/SCI, Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $101,000 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $116,200 - $201,365.
