Job description
Description We are looking for an accomplished IT Project Manager to oversee infrastructure and business technology initiatives for a motor freight forwarding organization in Johns Creek, Georgia. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who can guide multiple projects at once while keeping teams aligned, milestones on track, and stakeholders informed. The role will support both internal operational improvements and customer-related technology efforts, requiring strong coordination across technical teams, business partners, and external providers.
Responsibilities:

Direct projects through planning, execution, deployment, and stabilization to achieve successful business and technical outcomes.

Build and maintain detailed schedules, resource plans, budget tracking, and risk logs to keep initiatives organized and progressing effectively.

Partner with infrastructure teams, operations leaders, vendors, and business stakeholders to coordinate deliverables and resolve roadblocks.

Lead recurring project reviews, progress reporting, and leadership updates to ensure clear visibility into status, priorities, and next steps.

Oversee initiatives tied to transportation and operational platforms, including enhancements, support-related improvements, and implementation work.

Manage client-facing technology efforts such as integrations, onboarding activities, and rollout coordination for new solutions.

Work closely with third-party partners to align expectations, monitor performance, and support timely delivery of project commitments.

Promote adoption of new tools and processes by organizing training, supporting change readiness, and identifying opportunities for workflow improvement.
Requirements

Ensure each project remains aligned with business goals while meeting agreed timelines, scope expectations, and quality standards. Requirements * At least 5 years of experience leading IT projects within a complex organizational environment.

Demonstrated success managing software, application, integration, or enterprise business systems initiatives.

Solid knowledge of project management frameworks, delivery practices, and governance standards.

Ability to oversee several active projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder needs.

Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills across both technical and non-technical groups.

Experience working with infrastructure-focused projects, including areas such as network environments, enterprise infrastructure, data center initiatives, or structured cabling.

Familiarity with transportation management platforms, fleet-related systems, or similar operational business applications is preferred.
