Job description
As a Systems Engineer at Moog B.V., your main responsibilities will include developing flight simulation solutions and structural test systems that meet customer and market requirements. You will be part of an experienced team and will have the opportunity to work on challenging and exciting international projects. The Systems Engineering team is part of a larger engineering group with different disciplines, allowing for collaboration and the development of innovative systems.
In addition to working on customer-specific development projects, you will also be involved in projects to develop new electro-hydraulic or mechatronic products for the solution portfolio. During these projects, you will design the concept of a working integrated systems, ensuring compliance with (CE) directives, industry standards, and customer requirements. You will use engineering models and methods like Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to support the design process. Requirements Management will be applied to trace customer needs using available tools.
As a Systems Engineer, you will also collaborate with other disciplines such as mechanical engineering, software engineering, and electronics engineering to ensure alignment and deliver optimal solutions for customers or the market. You will have access to the worldwide network of Moog to exchange technical knowledge and experiences.
The systems developed by Moog B.V. are typically assembled and commissioned at the Moog factory and then transported to the customer's site for recommissioning and Site Acceptance Tests. You will be responsible for ensuring proper functioning and providing comprehensive system documentation.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Simulink?, Do you have a Master's degree?, The ideal candidate for this position should have a Master's degree in Aeronautical, Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, along with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of mechatronic systems is required, as well as the ability to work independently as a lead engineer in customer and development projects.
Good modelling skills using tools like Matlab/Simulink and the ability to translate customer requirements into system design are also important.
Other desired skills include creative thinking, good analytical and planning skills, good social skills, and good communication skills in English.
Knowledge of applicable directives (CE) and processes, experience with professional requirement management, and practical experience in Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) are preferred. Knowledge of the Dutch and German languages is also preferred.
