Job description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the infrastructure that powers our data centers. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of our network and hardware systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the seamless operation of critical data center functions., * Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Ethernet switches to ensure robust connectivity.
- Perform fiber splicing and cabling tasks using hand tools, power tools, and proper safety procedures to maintain high-quality connections.
- Conduct routine maintenance, equipment repairs, and system upgrades on servers, switches, routers, and telecommunication hardware.
- Assist with the installation of structured cabling such as Cat5, Cat6 cables, and telephony systems including VoIP and Avaya platforms.
- Monitor CCTV systems for security purposes and perform field service tasks related to low voltage electrical systems following NEC standards.
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to accurately troubleshoot network issues or hardware failures.
- Support power management tasks by working with electrical systems, power supplies, and using tools like ohmmeters for testing.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Service technician experience?, * Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet, and telecommunication systems.
- Experience with fiber splicing, cabling (Cat5/Cat6), and low voltage wiring standards aligned with NEC regulations.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and VoIP telephony systems such as Avaya.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and network installation procedures.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, electrical systems, power tools, and hand tools used in data center environments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
