Job description
Role: As a Data Scientist at OxeFit, you will pioneer the intersection of advanced AI, agentic workflows, and human performance. You will build and deploy intelligent systems that analyze user data, orchestrate complex workflows, and deliver deeply personalized recommendations for strength training and fitness., * Agentic Systems Development: Design, build, and deploy multi-agent systems and autonomous workflows that utilize tool-calling, memory retention, and self-correction loops to personalize user experiences.
- The "Dual-Threat" Developer: Utilize state-of-the-art AI coding assistants to radically accelerate prototyping and system architecture (vibe-coding), while maintaining the rigorous capability to deep-dive into the source code, debug complex logic, and write production-grade algorithms manually.
- Advanced Inference & Orchestration: Implement and tune multi-model workflows, optimizing for latency, cost, and context window efficiency across the latest frontier models.
- Empirical Evaluation & Guardrails: Design controlled experiments and evaluation frameworks (e.g., LLM-as-a-judge) to monitor, benchmark, and improve agent reliability, safety, and output accuracy.
- Data & Knowledge Engineering: Develop robust pipelines for advanced retrieval techniques (GraphRAG, hybrid search) to supply AI agents with highly relevant, structured context from user fitness histories.
- Full-Stack ML Integration: Develop and maintain backend services and API interfaces that seamlessly integrate machine learning models with application data stored in modern database systems.
- Domain Collaboration: Partner closely with fitness and biomechanics experts to translate physiological research questions into concrete digital features and data models., * Equity ownership participation
- Comprehensive benefit package and employer sponsored memberships
- A fun, challenging, and engaging start-up environment
- Agile, self-managed, self-organized teams
- A culture driven by innovation and team-focused engagement
- An entity that is committed to personal growth and opportunity
- Ability to work with cutting-edge and emerging technologies
Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Testing and evaluation?, Do you have a Master's degree?, (Demonstrable knowledge obtainable through graduate-level coursework, academic research, independent building, or industry experience)
- Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis, machine learning, and backend services.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or building custom orchestration loops).
- Deep understanding of prompt engineering, function calling, structured output generation, and semantic caching.
- Solid grasp of experimental design, statistical evaluation, and testing frameworks for non-deterministic AI systems.
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Proven track record of data extraction, feature engineering, and transforming messy, time-series data (like biometric/sensor data) into actionable features.
- Strong standalone software development skills: Ability to write clean, modular, and testable production-level code without relying on AI generation.
- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch/Vector Databases).
What makes you stand out:
- The "Builder" Mindset: A portfolio of indie projects or production features built at lightning speed using AI acceleration, paired with a pristine understanding of how the underlying code works.
- Experience handling high-velocity, real-time data or Big Data ecosystems (Spark, Flink, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills-specifically the ability to explain complex, stochastic AI behaviors and ML algorithms to a non-technical audience.
- Strong critical thinking and an eagerness to break, benchmark, and boundary-test AI models.
