Director of Technology

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Durham/Chapel Hill, NC or Rockwall, TX for a Director of Technology. As the Director of Technology, you will lead and manage a small technical team, drive innovative technology solutions to meet organizational goals, and oversee the strategic direction and execution of IT functions (in conjunction with the IT team). Responsibilities include managing technology projects, ensuring seamless program execution, and developing IT strategies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is key to success in this role.

Do you have experience in Web applications?, · 8+ years of experience in software development and data engineering

· Strong expertise in:

· SQL (advanced level)

· Snowflake data platform

· Java/JSP/JavaScript

· Python (for data processing)

· Experience managing web applications (Tomcat or similar)

· Hands-on experience with database design and performance optimization

· Familiarity with data security, governance, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2 preferred)

· Proven ability to manage complex technical projects with tight deadlines

Preferred

· Experience in market research technologies and survey platforms

· Familiarity with Sawtooth or similar analytics tools

· Experience with Tableau or BI tools

· Exposure to AWS (S3 or cloud infrastructure)

· Leadership experience coordinating with external vendors and IT partners
