Job description
The Systems Administrator I will provide "tier 2" administration, development, and support for the software management platforms, MDM and MAM enterprise applications, and related Windows servers running on physical and virtual platforms hosted in the University's data centers and the cloud (i.e., Azure, Amazon). These responsibilities include both Windows and Apple MDM applications, software distribution, and third-party patching. Responsible for using LDAP, Active Directory, ENTRA ID, and federation tools. Coordinate other Microsoft application activities with Information Technology Division (ITD) departments and campus academic and administrative departments requiring similar IT infrastructure services.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Server virtualization?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical discipline, is required. Note: An Associate degree or a High School diploma/High School Equivalency may be considered in lieu of the bachelor's degree requirement. Please refer to the required related experience for additional details., Three or more years of full-time, progressively responsible work experience supporting and managing applications on virtualized Windows server platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud (Azure, Amazon); experience administering Microsoft Active Directory and multiple collaboration/management platforms (e.g., MECM, Intune, Jamf Pro). Note: An Associate degree with Five (5) years of progressively responsible, related experience as described above, or a High School diploma/High School Equivalency and Seven (7) years of progressively responsible related experience as described above, may be considered in lieu of the bachelor's degree requirement., Microsoft ECM, Microsoft InTune, Jamf Pro, PowerShell, Pharos Print Management, PatchMyPC, and WSUS administration experience preferred. Experience with Apple School Manager (ASM), Windows Autopilot, and ServiceNow is also preferable. Current Microsoft Active Directory system administration.
