Requirements

We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist with 6+ years of experience to drive advanced analytics, AI/ML, and data visualization efforts in support of federal law enforcement and intelligence operations. In this role, you will develop and deploy data-driven solutions that enhance targeting, lead prioritization, and operational decision-making. You will leverage AI/ML techniques-including large language models-alongside advanced analytics and programming skills (e.g., Python) to extract insights from both structured and unstructured data across diverse sources. This position plays a critical role in analyzing, visualizing, and clearly communicating data insights to inform enforcement and operational strategies. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in coding, data visualization, and cloud-based development, along with exceptional communication and presentation skills., Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 6+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, and data visualization
  • Experience supporting federal law enforcement, intelligence, or national security missions
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions, including AI/ML models, in production environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and scalable workflows
  • Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Experience building scalable, reliable data pipelines and analytics workflows
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS services such as S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda)
  • Experience developing data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Knowledge of link analysis, geospatial analysis, or network visualization tools
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with cross-functional team experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including translating technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with modern development practices (e.g., Git, testing, agile/iterative methods)
  • Experience developing prototypes and transitioning them into production-ready solutions

Clearance: U.S. Citizen; Active DHS Clearance, DoD Top Secret Clearance, or Q-level Clearance.
