We are passionate about partnering with our customers to create opportunities for success, and committed to continuously improving ourselves, our processes and our solutions., The Technical Onboarding Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring customers are successfully connected to and trained on OpenTech products, including kiosks, call center solutions, and our access control offerings. This role sits at the intersection of technical configuration, quality assurance, and live customer training. You will be the primary technical point of contact, and your work directly shapes whether customers stay.

You will work alongside a team of Onboarding Specialists and Onboarding Traffic Coordinators, supported by a Team Lead. Customer Onboarding is a key driver of customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term success at OpenTech Alliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead customers through the full technical onboarding and setup process, serving as their primary point of contact from kickoff through go-live
  • Configure, customize, and validate OpenTech products based on each customer's technical requirements
  • Perform testing and quality assurance to ensure systems are accurate and functioning as intended
  • Deliver customer training through both scheduled group video sessions and individual follow-up calls, supporting product adoption and self-service capability
  • Build and maintain work order notes, configuration records, and customer-facing documentation in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and shared documentation systems
  • Manage a concurrent portfolio of active onboarding work orders, meeting timeline milestones and escalating blockers proactively
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with cross functional teams
  • Develop deep expertise across OpenTech products and services, with ongoing training provided on proprietary tools
  • Partner with teams across OpenTech to gather feedback and advocate for product, process, and service improvements based on customer interactions

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and configure software and integrated systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Professional and customer focused approach

Education, Experience, and Training

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in technical onboarding, technical support, implementation, or a related role
  • Solid understanding of software and hardware configuration as well as system integrations
  • Experience creating or maintaining technical documentation or training materials
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products, Windows 10 and 11 preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training will be considered

During the initial training period, schedules are standardized before transitioning to a permanent shift assignment.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, * 401(k)
