Job description

Talento has partnered with a Miami based construction company on an IT Director search. We are seeking a hands-on Group IT Director to lead enterprise technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and service delivery for a growing international organization with operations across multiple countries.

Reporting to executive leadership, this role will own the overall IT roadmap, technology architecture, cybersecurity posture, vendor management, and delivery of strategic technology initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with business acumen, serving as both a strategic advisor and an operational leader in a lean, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy, roadmap, and annual technology budget.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure, including networks, wireless environments, cloud services, security platforms, and end-user technologies.
  • Oversee the delivery of technology solutions for new facilities, expansions, and major capital projects, partnering with construction teams, contractors, and third-party vendors.
  • Manage external technology partners, managed service providers, and consultants while maintaining ownership of architecture, standards, security, and project outcomes.
  • Ensure reliable IT operations and service delivery across corporate and operational environments, including support contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics.
  • Own cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives, including security assessments, vulnerability management, user awareness programs, and incident response planning.
  • Lead data protection, privacy, and information governance efforts across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Evaluate and manage technology vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements, ensuring appropriate commercial, operational, and security controls.
  • Establish and maintain technology standards, policies, and best practices across the organization.
  • Define and manage core business systems, integrations, and data governance frameworks to support operational efficiency and business growth.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for technology-related issues and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Wireless network deployment projects?, * 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience managing enterprise technology environments.

  • Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure, network, and technology transformation projects.
  • Experience managing third-party technology providers, managed service organizations, and vendor relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Microsoft 365 and Intune
  • Cloud-based business applications and SaaS platforms
  • LAN, WAN, and wireless networking
  • Network security, firewalls, switching, and wireless technologies
  • End-user computing and mobile device management
  • Physical security technologies, including CCTV and access control systems
  • Experience supporting technology requirements for large-scale facility, construction, fit-out, or infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy frameworks such as NIST, GDPR, and related compliance standards.
  • Experience managing IT budgets, KPIs, service levels, and operational performance metrics.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when required., * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • ITIL certification or equivalent service management experience.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification.
  • Relevant cybersecurity, cloud, or infrastructure certifications.
  • Experience supporting multi-site and international operations.
